Hugo Winners Announced at 72nd World Science Fiction Convention
It’s been a great year for Ann Leckie as her debut novel “Ancillary Justice” took home the prize of the best novel at Sci-Fi’s coveted Hugo awards ceremony held last night at London’s ExCel centre. In addition to winning the Hugo at the 72nd World Science Fiction convention, the novel won this year’s Nebula award and the Arthur C Clarke award – making it the winner of all three of science fiction’s prestigious awards.
Other big winners were Charles Stross in the novella category with “Equoid” and Mary Robinette Kowal for best novelette with “The Lady Astronaut of Mars.”

Best professional artist: Julie Dillon
Best semi-pro zine: Lightspeed Magazine edited by John Joseph Adams, Rich Horton, and Stefan Rudnicki
Best fanzine: A Dribble of Ink edited by Aidan Moher
