Hello World is a marvelous cyber techno-thriller produced by students at the French school, La Femis. Shooting time took all of eleven days and was filmed on set and out on location in France. The story takes place in the near future where people are required to save their memories on computer servers. What could go wrong there, right? Along comes a female protagonist with the power to bring about change. The special effects created with the After Effects plugin Plexus are rich and luscious, and the film draws you in with its cyber noir air of intrigue. Toss in some French language that always sounds magnificent and the film is a real gem (English subtitled).
