The renowned science fiction writer Frederik Pohl edited the publication from 1966 to 1968. For his efforts, Pohl was awarded three Best Editor Hugo awards. During Pohl’s stint as editor stories from prominent authors Harlan Ellison, Gene Wolfe, Larry Niven, and Samuel Delany graced the publication. The pulp was also where Heinlein’s popular title “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” was serialized.
