Duel on Syrtis is a short story that concerns itself with a big game hunter’s harsh ambition of slaying creatures on all the known planets. There is one, however that the hunter has not killed and mounted on his trophy wall – a Martian. The main cold-blooded character Riordan swears to himself that he will get the forbidden kill.
