Sci-Fi Short of the Week: “Tears of Steel” by Blender Foundation.
A fun film populated with warriors and scientists assembled at the “Oude Kerk” in Amsterdam to re-stage a critical moment from the past, in an attempt to save the world from crazed robots.
This is the fourth Open Movie by Blender Foundation, re-rendered and re-graded in 4k resolution. This is rather on the cool side. Since this is an Open Movie available under Creative Commons Attribution, you can download the backgrounds and green screen your own version as you see here in a Chinese version of “Tears of Steel.” Visit Mango Blender for full information.
“Tears of Steel” was crowd-funding by users of the open source 3D creation tool Blender. It’s crazy fun – take a look.
