Sci-Fi Short: “DYNAMO,” Episode 1 by Ian Hubert and Scott Hampson.
This film from 2014 is as freaking awesome as it is mesmerizingly beautiful. The shorts are experimental cyberpunk at its finest, a collection of mind bursts, — “a sci-fi/fantasy/’cute cyberpunk’ web series.” Scott Hampson and Ian Hubert spent four years putting together this loosely bound sequence of films that’s easier to view than it is to describe. Episode one features an “Amazingly Bearded Man (ABM)” fighting off Flesh Bats as he pilots a spaceship / old-timey naval ship over what looks like an apocalyptic asteroid field.
