by Kenneth Grahame

The Wind in the Willows was published in 1908 by Kenneth Grahame. The novel focuses on four anthropomorphized animals in a simple version of Edwardian England. The mixes mysticism, morality, adventure, and comradeship and celebrated for its mental imagery of Thames Valley nature. What makes this novel fantastic is that it’s not really a children’s novel. The story is not actually about animals either–it’s a novel about English gentlemen, it just so happens it can also be enjoyed by children too.
